Manx-registered oil and gas company Zhaikmunai has appointed a new chief operating officer.
Heinz Wendel will replace Eckhard Verseck, who is retiring.
Zhaikmunai produces oil and gas through its facilities in north-western Kazakhstan.
Mr Wendel has more than 30 years experience in the field in Germany, Poland, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The firm says Mr Verseck will continue to provide consultancy services.
