Scanner firm has high hopes

3D Diagnostic Imaging, based on North Quay in Douglas, says it's targeting Asian markets after signing up distributors in America and Europe.

The firm produces dental equipment which finds tooth cavities by measuring bone mineral density with an electrical current.

It already has distributors for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, and is now targeting Japan, South Korea, Australasia and Saudi Arabia.

The firm also says it may found a subsidiary to use the technology to measure bone density elsewhere in the body, although no launch date has been set.
