
There’s good news for Isle of Man Film, although not at the box office.
Newspapers in the United Kingdom say the Queen was so impressed by A Bunch of Amateurs, a Manx-shot film starring Burt Reynolds, that she will be watching it with the Royal Family at home over Christmas.
It will be the second time she has seen the movie, after watching it at this year’s Royal Film Performance.
The comedy about a Hollywood actor who mistakenly stars in an am-dram King Lear is currently showing at the Villa Marina.
