Isle of Man Post Office says its new out-of-town customer services centre at Cooil Road headquarters in Braddan is proving popular since opening in early December.
Two thousand customers came through the doors in the first month, a rise on last year taking Christmas into account.
The public counter at post office HQ previously served as a mail collection centre with a limited retail outlet. A five month refurbishment project has transformed the facility which now offers all postal office services from foreign exchange and vehicle licensing to banking and MoneyGram facilities and also offers a wider range of goods for sale.
As well as three counter positions there are two self-service options at a Pay & Post kiosk.
Commercial dirctor of Isle of Man Post Office Lisa Duckworth cites the long opening hours, 7am - 7.30pm weekdays and 7am - 1230pm Saturdays and parking outside the door, as a draw for busy people.
