Permission sought for 'bakery without retail elements'
A planning application has been submitted to create a commercial bakery in Ballasalla.
The applicant, Richard Copisarow, wants to install signage, additional windows, a mezzanine floor, vents and a flue at the site on Balthane Industrial Estate.
He also wants the opening hours to be 24/7 'since baking can technically be at all hours and seven days a week'.
In the application he stated: "I am sure that since this is already an industrial site there should be no problem especially with a bakery."
If approved the building would be used for industrial and storage purposes rather than as a retail facility.
You can find the application in full here.
