The lottery messenger industry's first international conference hosted in Israel by Island-based Counting House and the Manx government, has proved a draw for the sector.
Seventy-five delegates from 30 lottery messenger brands in 16 countries attended the event in Tel Aviv's Hilton Hotel this week (20 May).
The event was an opportunity for the Island's business services sector to showcase its expertise, with Nedbank, Continent 8 Technologies, SMP Partners and ILS Fiduciaries - along with the emerging Lottery Export Association - all represented on an industry panel.
The official welcome was given by Leonard Singer, political member for e-business in the Department of Economic Development.
Lottery messenger firms allow the global public to participate in non-local national lotteries. The conference saw much discussion on the need for industry regulation and how it will add value.
The Isle of Man is positioning itself as an ideal location to meet firms' future licensing needs, where service providers complete a 'one stop shop'.
Head of Middle East at Counting House Stuart Ballan said useful contacts were made and co operations identified during networking time thought the event.
