One of 21 jurisdictions to receive top rating
A European task force tackling tax evasion and money laundering says a number of large countries are still lagging behind the Isle of Man when it comes to following international standards.
The Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax is part of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development – yesterday it announced its latest tax compliance list.
Austria, which had been assessed as “partially compliant” was upgraded, and joins Germany and the US as “largely compliant”.
The Isle of Man was assessed as “compliant” in 2013, and is one of 21 out of a total of 80 jurisdictions to have earned the rating.
