Green's vegetarian restaurant at the railway station in Douglas has lost its tenancy, after the lease came up for renewal.
The company has held the catering lease at the station for 21 years.
According to Director of Transport Ian Longworth, at the Department Community Culture and Leisure, Green's was beaten in the bidding process 'by a large margin' .
Mr Longworth says the competing bids were compared on a financial and service level basis, and the decision not to renew the contract to Green's is purely commercial:
New child employment rules come into force
Tourist tax would be 'wrong move at the wrong time', says Douglas hotelier
Diesel price increases 'could put some taxi drivers out of business'
Interim census 'important for business as well as government'
