A new foundation course to serve the Isle of Man's eGaming industry has chosen its first recruits.
It has been set up by the Department of Economic Development and Hamblin Recruitment, in response to the industry's complaint that applicants for jobs lacked the drive and work ethic needed to succeed.
eGaming is currently the fastest growing sector in the Manx economy, employing more than 600 people.
Chief executive officer at Hamblin Emma Allard says it's a highly competitive sector and specialist skills are needed.
She says the course aims to prevent employers looking off-Island for recruits (play audio file):
The three-day foundation course will be run at St John's Mill at Tynwald Mills.
September's course is fully-subscribed but another will be held in November and a third one after that.
Applicants should contact Hamblin Recruitment for more details.
