Fairbairn steps up recycling

Fairbairn Private Bank say they hope to " inspire" others with their new recycling scheme at its offices in St Mary’s Court, Hill Street.

Using a local recycling agency, Ask Buck (www.askbuck.com), the bank will now recycle glass, aluminium and plastic and St Mary’s Court property management company, Catalina Property Managers, have supported the scheme by allocating space for the recycling cage.

The Bank is already into recycling. That includes recycling paper, composting biodegradable waste such as teabags and turning off appliances at the end of the day. The bank also works in collaboration with various charities to recycle used toner and printer cartridges, used stamps and old mobile phones.

Greg Horton, Managing Director at the Bank says that until long-term technological and cultural solutions to the problem of global warming are found, everyone needs to consider the impact on the environment.
