Lab opened to public later this month
Barclays in the Isle of Man has appointed Elissa Morris as ecosystem manager of its new Eagle Lab in Douglas which will be open to the public later this month.
The Barclays Eagle Lab is opening in partnership with the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce and Department for Enterprise as part of the Bank’s drive to help entrepreneurs, businesses and the local community to create, innovate and grow.
She joins Barclays from the Isle of Man Department of Economic Development where she spent three years as a business development manager, working with new and existing e-gaming, e-business, digital media and ICT businesses and helping companies to relocate to the Isle of Man.
The Eagle Lab will host a series of open days from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 June so all islanders can tour the new facility, meet the team and learn more about what the new Eagle Lab has to offer.
The Eagle Lab will be open to everyone in the Isle of Man and will offer a range of resources including co-working space, expert mentoring, training workshops, a fully-equipped ‘MakerSpace’ with 3D printers to support rapid prototype development, and private office space for scale up businesses.
The Isle of Man Lab builds on the bank’s successful network of 15 Eagle Labs already operating in the British Isles.
