Claire Faulds in new role at Equiom.

Claire Faulds, now returned from her role as Acting Supreme Court Judge in the Falkland Islands, has been appointed Legal Counsel at Equiom Trust Company Limited

The appointment is one of the most senior made by the company since its foundation in December 2006, when members of the management team, of what was then Anglo Irish Trust Company Limited, led a management buyout to form Equiom.

Barry Smith, Director and Senior Legal Counsel at Equiom, in describing her extremely successful and varied career, says she will bring a unique blend of experience in both legal practice and trust and company administration to her new role. She also has hands on experience in senior management roles in the industrial and financial services sector and has also given distinguished service in the government and public sectors.

She is currently Chairman of the Isle of Man Income Tax Commissioners and is Vicar General of the Diocese of Sodor and Man. Previous roles have included Member of the Council of the Isle of Man Law Society, Company Secretary and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Britannia International Limited, Acting Deputy High Bailiff and Coroner of Inquests Isle of Man, and chairmanships of several statutory tribunals. She was also Acting Deemster in 1997, and again between 2004 - 2006.
