Boeing 737 touches down at Ronaldsway

There was an unusual sight - and plenty of noise - at Isle of Man Airport today (Monday 19) when a large Boeing passenger jet flew-in.

The 737-900 on a private flight from the British Virgin Islands arrived at Ronaldsway for a customs importation process.

The temporary admission procedure allows non-EU registered aircraft free circulation within the EU area.

Long-range 737-900 airliners can carry up to 220 passengers.

At 138 feet long, the aircraft is slightly larger than the easyJet Airbus 319 currently in operation at Ronaldsway.
