If you have been contacted by James Sherman and he has approved your $15 million funds claim, the Financial Supervision says ignore him.
Mr Sherman has been sending out mail as the Director of the Legal Department and City Private Banking & Wealth Management, based in Circular Road, Douglas.
But his generous offer turns out to be little more than bait in a scam: the FSC says there’s no such bank, company or business name on the Isle of Man.
And although he does give a real address, it turns out to be Standard Bank House, which doesn’t have any connection to Mr Sherman’s fictional company.
The FSC’s advice is simple: have nothing to do with him.
