LoveIOM idea launched in November
More than 1,000 government backed gift cards have been sold on the Isle of Man in just over a month.
The LoveIOM initiative is designed to be an alternative to global e-commerce alternatives.
Around 40 local hospitality businesses have signed up to accept the cards which can be redeemed from 4 January next year.
Enterprise Minister Dr Alex Allinson said: "With over 1,000 cards sold to date it is likely that this spend would have been lost from our local economy and instead been spent with companies who don't necessarily contribute to our Island economy or quality of life."
