Manx cycling star sends fundraiser luck during folding bike challenge

Dave Hogg on day three of the 300 mile trip across the French Alps

One of the Island's most famous cyclists is wishing a Crosby resident all the best on his potentially record-breaking fundraising challenge.

Peter Kennaugh was on his way back from the British National Road Race Championships when he stumbled across Dave Hogg's bid to cycle across the French Alps on a six speed Brompton folding bike.

He's on day three of the 300 mile trip which will see him climb almost 40,000 feet and is aiming to raise £10,000 for Hospice Isle of Man.

Peter took to social media to wish Dave luck:

You can find more details about here.

You know you’ve set yourself a tough challenge when Olympic Gold Medalist, also former Team Sky professional racer and now Team Manager of Trinity Racing - Peter Kennaugh MBE - says so ! Thanks so much for the message of support Pete and Team Trinity Racing. Really appreciated as the legs are starting to feel a tad tired now and still a couple of cols to go 🙏👍 #trinityracing #brompton #bromptonbicycle #hospiceiom #davehoggbrompton
