Arts Council announces latest graduate intern project

Hopes to show young people opportunities in modern music industry

Isle of Man Arts Council has announced a new initiative aiming to give young people here the chance to find out more about opportunities in the world of music.

'Music Pathways - Exploring the Modern Music Industry' will be available to Island A-Level and GCSE music students with weekly sessions beginning on Monday, 4 November at Kensington Arts in Douglas from 6pm until 7.30pm.

Led by Arts Graduate Intern Callum Rowe the free sessions will, the council says, help those involved 'gain perspective on the wide range of work available in the modern music industry.'

Welcoming up to ten people per session, they will also be open to students of the same age outside of formal education before expanding to the wider community in January 2025.

Anyone interesting in registering to take part is asked to contact iomartscouncil@gov.im.
