Simon Mann
Simon Mann
Simon Mann is an independent candidate standing in Ramsey.
This is the first time he's contested a House of Keys General Election.
Simon enjoys art, conservation of the natural environment and walking in his spare time and is a non-practising advocate and English solicitor.
Simon stands against the current marina proposal and wants an improved Island healthcare system, more GPs and a new modern medical centre for Ramsey.
We asked each candidate to choose three priorities from the following issues or add their own:
Climate change, heritage, tourism, public transport, affordable housing, roads, mental health, education, falling birth rate, encouraging university students to return to the Island.
Simon chose affordable housing and education.
He also added healthcare, the condition of roads, climate change, the financial sector, agricultural and fishing industries, government reform, public transport and gambling regulation.
He says: "The Island has suffered five years of decliner under the current administration and the time has now come for change. I seek the support of the people of Ramsey to be a strong voice in delivering that change."
