More Information (Manx Radio is not responsible for external websites)
With an exquisitely expressive voice and a deep connection to the traditions of the Scottish Highlands, Joy Dunlop is one of today’s foremost Scottish Gaelic singers. She is also a wonderful, engaging tutor, and will be running some workshops for the Cooish (as well as performing on the Friday night, with guitarist Ron Jappy, at the Peel Centenary Centre - hosted by Yn Chruinnaght).
The Scottish Gaelic traditional song workshop is hosted by Culture Vannin, and is completely FREE – you don't need to book on, just turn up! Songs will be taught by ear and lyrics provided – you don't need anything other than a willingness to have a go!
This workshop is part of the Cooish Manx language festival - find out more at www.learnmanx.com/cooish
