Leader submits a motion for debate in January
Douglas Council could undergo an independent review of its governance, organisational effectiveness and accountability.
Leader Devon Watson has submitted a motion, which will be debated in January, for the local authority to undergo the process to establish where it can 'improve' and find weaknesses.
It's hoped that the review will also identify where it can make services more effective and prove to the ratepayers it has the ability to deliver what they need.
Mr Watson says the outcome would also give assurances that the council is spending money responsibly.
