Vehicle recovered to depot after firefighters extinguish flames
Bus Vannin is examining the cause of a bus fire in Douglas earlier today.
The fire service were called out at 10.15am after the driver of the bus noticed smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle while travelling down Victoria Street.
The driver pulled over next to the Bottleneck car park on Loch Promenade and escorted the passengers off the bus.
Firefighters spent around 30 minutes tackling the blaze, which was confined to the engine compartment, before Bus Vannin was able to recover the vehicle to the depot for further investigation.
