IOM Post Office commemorates Queen's reign

Prestige booklet and stamp collection salutes reign

The Queen is set to become Britain's longest reigning monarch next month and Isle of Man Post Office is releasing a prestige booklet to mark the occasion.

The 24-page publication looks back at the life of Queen Elizabeth II and contains eight commemorative stamps.

Her Majesty will take the crown of longest-reigning monarch from her great, great grandmother Queen Victoria on 9 September after serving for 62 years.

In addition to being Queen of the United Kingdom and Head of the Commonwealth, Her Majesty is also Lord of Mann, a link maintained both directly and through the Lieutenant Governor.

She has visited the Isle of Man on a number of occasions, for the first time in 1955 and most recently in 2003.

General manager of Isle of Man Stamps and Coins Maxine Cannon said: "We are delighted to present this prestige booklet, Isle of Man Treasury coin and other stamp products for anyone who wants to celebrate such an important figure in British history.”
